These have an elastic opening which is about 8 inches wide to fit comfortably over your skimmer basket. They collect and trap almost everything before it reaches your pump and filter system. These are timesaver because they keep out all the yuck and you will spend less time and energy backwashing. All you do is rinse them off with a garden hose!! Works for cartridge, D.E. or sand systems that use a skimmer basket. The pictures you see are from my own pool’s skimmer basket and you can see the tight weave of the nylon mesh.
Other nets being sold out there rip and tear easily (because they do not stretch well) but these have a  comfortable

. The fine nylon mesh material is sewn together using a
double stitch
for added durability. You’ve seen these at pool supplies store at twice the price and half the quality.

Are they kidding? Look at it? A Cheap nylon sock that they expect you to streeeettttccchhh across your skimmer basket..And we know what happens when nylon is stretched and it starts to run – might as well throw it away! Ask your girlfriend or wife – she will tell you!
I have a small skimmer basket myself, and look how that has to strech over it. Its not going to last, maybe thats why they sell you 5 in pack. I bought this one on Ebay to test it out and this is exactly what it said in the instructions: “If basket floats put small weight (stone) into basket” – That how flimsy and light weight it is, it makes your basket float!

There is plenty of room to fit over a skimmer basket. Only the ELASTIC opening stretches ,and that ELASTIC is SEWED on. Thats why my nets are SUPERIOR to all the others!
Notice: It is not recommended that you expose these nets to direct long term contact with chlorine. Chlorine is powerful and will eat its way through ANYTHING.. If you use slow dissolving tablets (like 7 day tablets) in your skimmer basket then you will shorten the life on these nets. Either place the tablets in a plastic container (such as the plastic top of a detergent bottle) inside the skimmer basket or use a floating dispenser.
This picture shows a dirty net that was in my skimmer so you can see that even the finest debris gets trapped before it reaches your filter system!
Turn it inside out and rinse off with a garden hose and its ready to be placed back in your skimmer basket! Look at all the fine dirt particles trapped in the netting! It easy to clean and STURDY enough for you to clean with a garden hose on full pressure

Many customers have asked if a larger sized net could be made to accommodate larger sized skimmer baskets. Now I have done that in a large enough quantity to offer for sale at a reasonable price.
Q:I have bought your nets for several years and they fit my skimmer basket just fine, how will this new size affect me?
A:They will work the same as the original size. The only difference is that you may have some excess netting to tuck in or around the skimmer basket. The water pressure will hold this net in just as good as the original. In fact the opening of the net is the same, the only difference is this net is longer and will fit more baskets then the original.
Q:What are the measurements?
A:The elastic opening is about 8 inches wide and stretches. The length is about 14 inches and the width is about 11 inches.
